I’m not a big agency, and I’m not exactly a freelancer - I'm more like your personal web stylist. So, what does that mean for you? I'm efficient, you get my full attention, and I understand small business because I am one! My goal is to minimize the time you need to spend working on your new website and maximize your ability to make an impact right away. For that reason, I tend build out one website at a time, so you get my full attention. If you need a website but have no idea where to start, or the thought of trusting a stranger with your beloved business scares you — let’s have a chat.

Website Design

These days, it’s not enough to just have a functioning website. Your website also needs to be beautiful. Why’s that? For one reason, 75% of users make judgments about a business’s credibility based on visual design alone. A poorly designed website is, unfortunately, an easy way to lose potential customers. As a small business owner, it can seem daunting, and expensive, to undertake a website design or redesign. But it is one of the biggest things you can do to improve your customer’s experience, increase lead generation, and up your bottom line. Your visitors come to your website because of a specific search for your product or service. They need what you’re selling or offering but when they get there, they also need the answers to some basic questions. So what do you put on your website? If they can’t answer those questions on the first page of your website, they will be heading to your competitor’s site before you know it. That's where Southern Violet Designs can help.

About

I enjoy people and I love to write. Where most people cringe inwardly at the thought of a having to write a report or create technical content, I excel. You see, I’ve been writing and creating content since I could wield a pencil. In fact, I believe that any piece of work is worthy of perfection. While I have published numerous articles, written a book and designed several websites, my official freelance career was launched in a rather odd way. I say that because a ‘freelancer’ is somebody who is self-employed and gets paid for their work. But much like how everything else has occurred in my life, my ‘freelance’ career started by doing a large amount of non-profit work for free. They say do what you love and in my case this has ultimately led to project after project based on one simple advertising feat – word-of-mouth! Today I happily manage a variety of websites, regularly edit numerous projects, write articles, play ghostwriter and provide consulting services.
